Billionaire Mark Cuban Sends Poll to Parents Asking if Trump or Kamala is a Better Role Model for Their Kids- The Results Left Him Stunned

Mark Cuban asked a difficult question on social media platform X this week when he posed the question for parents if Donald Trump or Kamala Harris would be a better role model for their children.

Despite being a vocal opponent to Trump and his policies over the years, the founder of Cost Plus Drugs, a private company that delivers low-priced pharmaceuticals to Americans, was surprised by the answer to the poll.

The Poll

On X, formerly Twitter, Mark Cuban posed the question: ‘Who’s persona and character would you like to see young children grow up to have,’ to roughly 8.8 million followers with the options being the 2024 Republican and Democratic candidates.

Despite Trump’s long history of speaking poorly about women, mocking disabled people, and other bad behavior, the majority of the respondents on the social media platform chose the former president.

The Outcome

Cuban was surprised to see that out of 804,173 votes cast, 68.9% chose Donald Trump, and only 31.1% chose Kamala Harris.

However, the poll only represents a small segment of Americans, those who follow Cuban on X and those who use Elon Musk’s social media platform in the first place. The poll also has no assurance that those responding to the poll were actually parents or even Americans at all.

Other Politicians Add Comments

The post earned a flurry of comments from other politicians, including Trending Politics co-owner Collin Rugg, who posted a video of Louisiana Sen. John Kennedy explaining that people don’t need to personally like who they vote for as president.

However, liking the president wasn’t the exact question. The possibility of looking up to a person like a politician as a good role model differs from liking them personally.

Kennedy's Comments

“Some people don’t like President Trump and I know some people don’t like Vice President Harris. But I would remind folks that you’re not picking a spouse here or a life partner. You’re picking the President of the United States,” the Republican Senator said in the video.

Kennedy added, “And that decision – your decision – should be based on the candidates’ policies and their records.”

Right Wing Attacks on Harris

Outside of the senator’s comments, several MAGA users who are proliferated on X made some unfair comments about Harris.

The die-hard Trump supporters echo claims that Harris slept her way to the top position within California politics as a reason why they would not want their daughters to look up to her. These claims have not been confirmed.

Cuban Was an Early Trump Supporter

Despite his long-standing beef with the ex-president, Cuban was an early supporter during the 2016 election cycle.

As a fellow entrepreneur, Cuban noted his support in 2015 and even offered to join Trump as a running mate for the official election.

Cuban Talks About His Early Support

The Dallas Mavericks minority owner spoke with former Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy on August 7 on the platform X.

He explained that “In 2015, I was like, ‘He’s great. He’s not a typical Stepford candidate.’ I thought that was a positive. A big part of that is I didn’t think he had a chance,” he went on. “I just wanted to kind of screw things up in traditional politics, which I’m not a fan of.”

Switching Support

When Kamala Harris became the presumptive nominee this summer after President Joe Biden withdrew his name from the official race, Cuban became an outspoken supporter.

More Republicans Make Unfounded Claims

Valentina Gomez, a Republican who lost her bid for Missouri Secretary of State earlier this month, added her voice to several unfounded criticisms of Harris.

“Mark, you have daughters,” she added. “Would you like your daughters to sleep with billionaires to get into powerful positions in politics, sports, or business? If you don’t, Trump is your answer.”

No Proof That You Can Sleep Your Way to the Top

Despite the constant claims that Harris is unfair for office because she used her sexual relationships to gain status in the state of California, these claims are unfounded.

In the 1990s, Harris had a brief relationship with the mayor of San Francisco, who had separated from his wife almost a decade earlier.

Trump is No Angel

Although the claims about Harris are easily debunked, Trump has been found guilty in a court of law of paying off adult film star Stormy Daniels with campaign funds to keep quiet about his extra-marital affair with her in 2006.

Trump has also been on record discussing the times that he has cheated on his three wives, with whom he shares five children.
